Learn When and How to use Trusts

In Articles

Trusts are a bit like race cars. Driven correctly, they let you get things done that would be difficult to accomplish any other way. But not understanding them can quickly leave you wrapped around a tree. If you are a client, there is a very good chance we will be using one or more trusts. If you want to learn about them in “the outside world”, Dyches Boddiford periodically teaches a class called Learn Trust Concepts & Strategies; Land Trusts and Personal Property Trusts; Powerful Legal, Tax & Business Strategies for the Savvy Investor. Dyches isn’t formally an accountant or CPA, but when he talks about trusts and income taxes, I take notes. He does his research, and is a creative thinker. If you want to learn how to use trusts correctly, I highly recommend his class. There are generally people from all across the country there to hear him. His website is being updated now, but if you Google it, you will find him. Another great source of information, also one of my favorites, is the Bay Area Wealth Builders, headed by Mike Morrongiello. If I lived anywhere close, I would be there all the time; the people Mike brings in are consistently excellent.
